The stainless steel AODD pump utilizes compressed air to drive dual flexible diaphragms, engineered for seal-less, leak-free transfer of corrosive, volatile, and viscous industrial media.
Operating Principle
Driven by a non-icing air distribution spool, compressed air acts alternately on the back of each liquid diaphragm. As one chamber discharges fluid under positive displacement, the opposing chamber simultaneously draws fluid in via check balls and seats, delivering a continuous, pulse-attenuated flow.

• Seal-less & Packless Architecture: Completely eliminates mechanical seals and packing glands, eradicating the primary point of fugitive emissions and toxic leakage.
• Dead-Head & Stall Tolerance: Stalls safely against a closed discharge valve without thermal overload or motor burnout; automatically restarts when downstream pressure drops.
• Infinite Flow & Head Control: Adjusts flow rate and discharge pressure instantly via inline air pressure regulation, eliminating the need for expensive VFDs.
• Continuous Dry-Run Capability: Runs dry indefinitely without generating frictional heat or damaging internal elastomers and check valves.
• Shear-Sensitive Fluid Handling: Low-velocity positive displacement preserves the molecular integrity of shear-sensitive polymers, paints, and biological emulsions.

Hazardous / ATEX Zones: Deploy grounded 316L pump bodies with conductive PTFE diaphragms. Ensure a dedicated external grounding wire is connected to plant earth to safely dissipate static buildup in explosive gas or dust environments.
High-Viscosity Fluids (> 2,500 cP): Utilize flooded suction configurations with 1.5" or larger port sizes, running at reduced cycle speeds to prevent inlet starvation and cavitation.
Material Verification:
All wetted castings and plates are backed by EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Certificates (MTC) confirming exact chemical composition (Cr, Ni, Mo content).

Multi-axis CNC milling centers maintain strict dimensional tolerances on fluid chambers, manifolds, and valve seats to ensure volumetric efficiency.
Surface Integrity & Finishing:
Industrial series undergo passivated investment casting; sanitary lines receive mechanical grinding and electro-polishing down to Ra <= 0.4 um to prevent microbial trap points.
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT):
Every assembled pump undergoes a 1.5x working pressure hydrostatic test and a dry-air operational check for air-valve shifting reliability before crating.
